How To Keep Your Permanent Eyebrows Looking Fresher For Longer!

Once you have had your eyebrows beautifully created using permanent makeup you will want to do everything you can to ensure they look great for as long as possible.
There are a number of factors within your control to support the healing process and the longevity of your brows and they come down to your commitment to looking after them the best was possible.
Once your treatment has finished it is totally normal to experience some of the following: redness, tingling, itchiness and flaking. These are all part of the healing process and it is important that you do not itch or pick at the area and you follow the aftercare advise given along with aftercare products you are told to use.
The first 7 days after treatment are the most important in ensuring effective healing and a great result.
During the first 7 days it is recommended:
Use your aftercare ointment as instructed
Do not scratch or pick your skin
Avoid makeup and products on the area
Avoid swimming, saunas and steam rooms
Avoid sun and sunbeds
Taking care of your brows as advised at this early stage can mean the difference between a beautiful, long lasting result or a disappointing result. Remember, your colour will inevitably be darker now than the end healed result, so don’t panic and trust this process.
Most brows will have healed within 10 – 14 days. At about 6 weeks you will return for your second appointment where any patches that need topping up are completed and any other perfecting measures are taken. It is important to follow the rules for the first 7 days as you did with the previous treatment.
In order to keep your brows looking as fresh and perfect for as long as possible follow the below recommendations:
Always use sun screen to protect the area – This is a good investment for your skincare in general! SPF 50 is recommended.
Do not use harsh scrubs / chemical peels / retinols on the area
If going for a professional treatment inform your beautician of the procedure so that they can avoid the area
